spherocytosis or ellipsocytosis, enzyme defects, haemoglobinopathy) or
an extrinsic damaging agent.
For example autoantibody (autoimmune
haemolytic anaemia), iso antibody,
parasitic invasion of the cells (malaria), bacterial or chemical haemolysins, mechanical damage to erythrocytes.
