Randi Airola was in the service for almost nine years, until December of 1999, when she refused her 5th anthrax vaccine. Randi became ill after taking her 4th shot with symptoms that included vertigo, gray-outs, memory loss, chronic migraines, chronic fatigue, and shortness of breath. Randi was 25 years old She received no medical intervention from the military, and civilian doctors could not explain what was happening. Randi still suffers from neurological effects, but has chosen to use her experience to help others. Randi remains dedicated to trying to help veterans that are trying to help themselves. Currently Randi works a full time job in the education arena. She lives in Michigan e-mail: randi@milvacs.org
